      Stalwart Mk2 amphibious truck (Waterline version)

      A waterline version of the Stalwart was developed to provide British armoured units with an amphibious all-terrain supply vehicle.  As part of the Alivis 600 series of 6×6 vehicles it proved very popular with Britsh forces but saw limited export success.       Arab Commandos based on the troops that assaulted the Suez Canal in 1973. They wear a smock to carry all the rations and ammo they will need for the first few hours of battle. Regular Arab support can be used for heavy weapons teams

      Commando battalions were also used as airmobile units dropped behind enemy lines. (20 figs)

      M902 ITV (Improved TOW)

      The M988 ITV (Improved TOW Vehicle) replaced the earlier TOW armed M113s with an enclosed turret that can “pop-up” to look over terrain and fire missiles while the carrier remains hidden. Entered service in the mid 80s and served through the 1st Gulf war.

      The M902 FISTv (FIreteam SupporT vehicle) based on the M113 had a vision system built into an articulated mast, that could be raised to search for artillery targets from behind cover.

      The vehicle contained sophisticated navigation and communication systems linked to HQ.

      It was intentionally similar to the M988 ITV missle carrier to help disguise its purpose

      The A2 variant was developed in 1979 from experience in the Vietnam and Arab Israeli wars; The fuel storage was moved from inside the passenger compartment to armoured tanks either side of the rear ramp.       Meteorit UR-77

      The Meteorit mine clearer based on the chassis of the 2S1 artillery tank. The vehcle’s rocket launcher deploys an explosive filled hose accross a mine field to create a safe path. The launcher is similar in shape to the standard artillery turret to help disguise the vehicles purpose. Enterd service in 1977.

      The HMMVW or Humvee came into service in 1984. The Humvee gradualy replaced the Ford MUT and military light trucks as troop, weapons and cargo carrier.  Over 190, 000 have been built and sold around the world.  The first M988 versions had load capacity of 1100kg and had no armour it was fitted with a fabric roof and doors.
