The YPR-765 was developed as a private venture based on the M113, FMC created a more economic competitor to the Bradley M2, the US government was not interested but from 1975 the Dutch government ordered over 2000 vehicles, it was also purchased by the Belgium (500+) and by the Philippines. As the fleets have been updated many have been exported to other nations. This is the APC variant armed with the improved protection 50 cal cupola.
