Sdkfz 234-2, 8 wheeled armoured car, developed to replace the 231 heavy armoured cars. This design incorporated an air cooled diesel for use in hot climates, there was room for a crew of 4 where the radio operator could drive the vehicle backwards in and emergency. These vehicles combined great cross country performance and long range. Armed with 50mm gun and turret from the cancelled Leopard tank. Approximately 100 built.
