Fuchs(Fox) TPz NBC recon vehicle was developed by the Germany during the 1970s, an armoured laboratory on wheels able to explore for NBC contamination and threats. These vehicles were later purchased in the late 1980s by the UK, USA and a number of other nations.

It had improved armour, gunnery, NBC protection and ammunition storage. These served with distinction in the 1st Gulf war.
